i think that this cellphone is effecting human alot
Cell Phone Radiation and the Increase in Brain Cancer
people appear to have an almost pathological emotional attachment to their cell phones and there is a fascinating suggestion that cell radiation pulses might actually be addictive to the human brain

I think Hummers with oversized tires is a better yardstick of the owner’s infertility.

And all this time I've been wondering why my four-cylinder Civic is such a chic magnet. Now I get it!

My wife has an old cellphone from her mom, for emergencies, since apparently any charged up cellphone (with or without an active service provider) can call 911. But CHps are not happy if you call 911 for, say, running out of gas or getting a flat tire on the freeway. I have considered getting some kind of pay-as-you-go phone to keep in one or both cars -- it would be worth, say, $100 per car to me to have a working phone in the glove compartment. But I haven't investigated what's out there. I suspect pay-as-you go plans all eventually expire the minutes you buy if you don't use them, in which case I'm not interested, because if I have to pay monthly to charge up the pay-as-you-go minutes, I might as well just have a regular cell phone!

Four hours a day!!! Who can talk that much!?!?

Apparently some people do -- they were in the study. I guess some jobs require it. Plus, look at how many people jump on their cell phones whenever they have an unscheduled moment -- driving, waiting in line, etc. Those aren't free calories -- they add up too.

A lot of people have ditched their land lines to go completely cell. My brother did; my neighbors who just moved from Colorado did, too. It's kinda weird -- they live six houses down, and to call them we have to dial a Colorado area code because that's where they signed up for service (and they're too stubborn to change, I suppose).

Still not drinking the kool-aid.

I'm with you. I had a cell phone for my corporate job years ago, then left that job, returned the cell ... and felt liberated. I'd dread ever carrying one again. The prospect of health consequences from cell phone use only doubles my resolve.

My wife carries one for emergencies. I guess if I'm ever in an emergency I'll just have to tough it out the old-fashioned way.
